Karat Capital Private Limited maintains commitment to digital accessibility for people with disabilities, continuously improving user experience through relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The time.money platform partially conforms to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as required by SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/ITD-1/ITD_VIAP/P/CIR/2025/111 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
We are actively remediating identified gaps to achieve full conformance.
Accessibility Features
The website includes the following accessibility features:
- Skip links directing to main content
- Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks and ARIA attributes
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA thresholds
- Contrast level switcher (Normal / AA / AAA) for enhanced readability
- Font size adjustment controls (A-, A, A+) with range 80% to 150%
- Responsive design across screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- Reduced motion support — animations and auto-play are disabled when the user's system prefers reduced motion
- Descriptive alt text on all images
- Accessible data tables with captions and column scope attributes
- External links clearly identified with screen reader announcements
Known Limitations
The following areas have known accessibility limitations that we are working to resolve:
- Downloadable PDF (SEBI IA Investor Charter): the document is a tagged PDF and a default document language (en-IN) has been set; reading order and image alternative text are being verified as part of the formal accessibility audit.
Images of Text
Product screenshots on the home page (dashboard and insights previews) are used solely to demonstrate the product interface itself, which WCAG 2.2 SC 1.4.5 treats as essential presentation. Each screenshot carries descriptive alternative text appropriate to its content. No information on the site is conveyed only through these images — equivalent information is available as page text and interactive elements.
Standards Compliance
The time.money platform targets compliance with the following standards and regulations:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
- Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0
- IS 17802:2022 (Indian Standard for ICT Accessibility)
- Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Sections 40, 42, 46)
- SEBI Circular on Digital Accessibility (published July 31, 2025; full conformance deadline: July 31, 2026)
Testing & Monitoring
Accessibility is verified through a combination of automated and manual testing:
- Automated linting: Biome with 30+ accessibility rules enforced in continuous integration on every code change
- Manual testing: keyboard navigation, screen reader verification (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Browser testing: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two versions)
- Zoom and reflow testing at 200% and 400% on 1280x1024 resolution
- Testing frequency: with every deployment and quarterly comprehensive review
- Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation: not currently applicable as no video or audio content is published. ISL support will be provided when multimedia content is added.
Audit History
An internal WCAG 2.2 AA pre-assessment (March 2026) identified 21 barriers across all pages; all code-level findings from that review have been remediated.
A formal accessibility audit has been conducted by an IAAP-certified accessibility professional in accordance with SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/ITD-1/ITD_VIAP/P/CIR/2025/111, and included usability testing with persons with disabilities. Issues identified in that audit are being remediated.
Annual accessibility re-audits will be conducted thereafter, in accordance with SEBI requirements.
